Well, Welbart is my favorite Filipino Artist as of now na nabubuhay. And guess what? Nag-open siya ng art exhibit sa Art Center sa may SM Mega Mall.

Joel Bartolome, kelan nga ba kita unang nakilala?? Hahaha. Hindi pa kita nakikilala nang personal, but your works really don’t fail to struck me dumbfounded. It’s like, in love ako sa gawa mo. If I can remember it well, high school ako nun, nung magkaron ako ng interest mag-appreciate ng arts dahil medyo sawi ako sa pagenhance ng aking art skills dahil hindi ako nakakasama sa Art Club ng school namen.
Tatlong art exhibit mo na ang napupuntahan ko, and I’m proud of it kahit tumingin lang ako. Someday I’ll be proud dahil makakabili din ako nun. Hahaha.
He’s a visual artist. He has this kind of style that his subjects [person], always wear a mask and they are mostly nudes. I’m not saying I’m into nude paintings, yung sa kanya lang… kasi kahit nude paintings, di mo naman makikitaan ng kalaswaan, I think? Hahahaha. It really amazed me… At magaling ang pagkakapaint niya lalo na pag may kinalaman sa politics. :D
Sabi ko nga sa sarili ko, pag nagkaron na ako ng pera, kahit isa lang, kahit isa lang talaga, bibili ako ng masterpiece mo. Hahaha.
And I have found another artist to be followed: Abi Dionisio, if I remember it well.
Ayun nga, pinamagatan ang kanilang art exhibit na Snooze.

Disclaimer: alam ko kasi, bawal hawakan ang paintings, lalo na kapag OIL in CANVASS. Masasaktan ka ng artist. Hahaha. And also, bawal picturan, patalasan na lang ng memory. Hahaha, kaya nga nagulat ako nang may makita akong paintings niya na available sa net, dahil kinatatakutan ng mga nagbebenta ng paintings na magkaron ng leak at magaya ang styles ng kanilang, idk what do they call them sa artist na ineendorse nila,mga ineedorse na artist or magkaron man ng immitation ang gawa nila, mababawasan ng value. Please, huwag nawang mangyare yun. :D give the artist with all due respect :D
